Our family roots go back to 1853 when Henry Simpson came to the colony with the Hudson Bay Company to provide for the settlers. Five generations later the Springford family provides The Island’s Best Food…Naturally.
Our cattle and chicken are free of growth hormones and antibiotics. And our food products are gluten free. At Springford Farm, we use a holistic approach to farming and by utilizing Intensive Rotational Grazing our cattle are raised the way ‘Nature’ intended on a grass based diet for a taste that’s The Island’s Best.
We have been farming and active in the farm community for over 30 years. A 25 year member of the Canadian Hereford Association. Members of Parksville & District Chamber of Commerce, Coombs Farmers’ Institute, Island Farmers Alliance, Island Farm Fresh, and RDN Agricultural Advisory Committee. We are certified with BC Environmental Farm Plan and the 2010 Runner-up for BC Cattleman’s Association Environmental Stewardship Award.
