Egg Collection & Grading Team Member

We’re seeking a dedicated team member to join us in a permanent, part-time, year-round role focused on egg grading and collection. For someone with skills or interest in landscaping and general farm work, it could expand into a full-time position.

💲 Starting at $18/hour, with a performance review and wage discussion after 60 days.

Schedule & Availability

  • 3-4 days per week (approx. 20–28 hours)

  • Required availability:

    • Egg collection: 2–4 hours twice a week, preferably on Fridays and Saturdays

      • 1 weekend shift is required, if Fri/Sat doesn’t work we can discuss the option of doing Sundays instead

    • Egg grading: full 8-hour shifts on Mondays and Wednesdays

      • preference would be availability on both days, however we are open to discussion about just 1 day of grading each week

  • Flexibility for additional shifts and vacation coverage as needed

Responsibilities

Egg Grading

  • Clean, inspect, and package eggs with the grading team

  • Sanitize equipment and facilities thoroughly

  • Follow all CFIA policies and procedures

Egg Collection

  • Collect eggs using egg collection machinery in our three barns

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety while working independently

  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance in barns as required

  • Use a pallet jack to move stacks of eggs

Education & Requirements

Required:

  • High school diploma

  • Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

  • Ability to meet all availability requirements

  • Willingness to undergo on-the-job training

  • Comfortable working indoors and on weekends

Preferred:

  • Level 1 First Aid certification

  • Food Safe certificate
