Farm Market & Egg Grading Team Member

20-35 hours/week

$18-$21/hour, negotiable depending on experience

🥚 Egg Grading Responsibilities

You’ll be part of the crew that prepares our eggs for market, including:

  • Cleaning, inspecting, and packaging eggs

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation

  • Cleaning and sanitizing grading equipment and work areas

  • Following all CFIA food safety procedures

🛒 Farm Market Responsibilities

When you’re in the market, you’ll help create a great experience for every customer by:

  • Providing friendly, welcoming customer service

  • Operating our point-of-sale system

  • Keeping the market, fridges, freezers, and warehouse clean and organized 

  • Helping with receiving, rotating, pricing, and stocking products

  • Contributing to general cleaning tasks

 

Wage is negotiable based on experience, with a performance and wage review after 60 days.

Education required:

  • High school diploma

Experience & skills:

Required

  • Strong reliability and punctuality with the ability to commit to a consistent weekly schedule

  • Comfortable performing physically active, repetitive work (standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, repetitive upper-body movements, sorting, packing, cleaning)

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, production-style environment with attention to detail

  • Willingness to follow food safety, sanitation, and CFIA procedures

  • Comfortable working around machinery and equipment

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Friendly, clear verbal communication with customers and coworkers

Preferred (but not required)

  • Experience in grocery, retail, food service, agriculture, or food production

  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems

  • Experience with inventory, stocking, or receiving

  • Knowledge of or interest in local food and farming

  • Level 1 first aid certification is an asset

  • Food safe certificate is an asset

Additional Info:

🕒 Schedule & Availability

We are looking for someone who can commit to 4–5 days per week, or 20-30+ hours with a combination of:

  • Egg grading shifts (at least 2 each week)

  • Farm market shifts (at least 2 each week)

Availability requirements:

  • Must be regularly available at least 2 days for egg grading Monday–Wednesday and at least 1 day on Saturdays or Sundays for market shifts

Schedule and weekly hours are negotiable as long as these requirements can be met.
