Springford Farm Market

Our farm market sits right on the edge of the farm, and everything you find on our shelves is grown or produced on Vancouver Island or a nearby Gulf Island. Not mostly local. Not "local-ish." One hundred percent Island.

We work with over 25 Vancouver Island farms and 60 artisan food producers, which means you'll find our own free-range eggs, grass-fed beef, and seasonal produce alongside Island raised pork, chicken, and dairy, plus a range of fresh, frozen, and dry goods from people we actually know.

Because we only carry what's grown here, our selection follows the seasons and is shaped by what's actually growing on the Island at any given time. It's one of our favourite things about the market.

Supporting local food starts with having somewhere to do it. We're glad to be that place.

Come Visit Us

The market wasn't exactly part of the master plan. When we set out to build our egg grading facility in 2014, Diane Springford had the idea to add a small storefront onto the front of it - somewhere to sell our eggs and beef alongside a few local goods. That was the beginning. What it's become is something none of us could have anticipated: a bustling, bursting-at-the-seams gathering place for some of the best food produced on Vancouver Island.

We're open all year-round, Thursday through Sunday, 9:30 to 5:00. Our own free-range eggs and grass-fed beef are always in stock, and fresh deliveries from across the Island arrive every week, including fresh-baked bread, fresh pork, chicken, milk, and so much more.

When the weather cooperates, our shaded picnic area out front is a pretty lovely place to slow down for a bit. We regularly host local food trucks if you want to make a proper outing of it. Check our food truck schedule to see who's coming up.
